Meetings
The project partners met in Lauf an der Pegnitz/Nürnberg, Germany
between the 4th and the 6th of December 2008, organised and hosted by
the German Team, IAB. During the
meeting, the methodology of the field research was discussed. Plus, the
initial drafts of the state of the art reports were presented during the
workshop, both to familiarise other partners with individual cases and
to increase the workpackage coordinator’s effectiveness in merging them
into the final synthesis draft.
On the way to Madrid ...
The partners already began to prepare for the workshop meeting in Madrid
(to take place between the 21st and the 23rd of May, 2009) during the
regular online meetings held on Skype (see below). The aim is to review
the results of the first round of field studies.
SPHERE online
During the second six-month period, 6 Skype meetings with team partners
took place: 14, 27 October 2008; 17 November 2008; 20 January 2009; 17
February 2009; 12 March 2009).
Progress on the Work Packages
The State of the Art
Reports
Dr. John Kirk produced the Final Synthesis Report, articulating the
insights and findings provided by the partners’ state of the art
reports. The synthesis report, as well as the country reports, were
submitted to the Commission.

of experts (‘key respondents’), and conducting pilot interviews with
non-experts
