Workshop in Madrid, Spain

The third project workshop, organised by the Spanish team, took place in Madrid, Spain, on 21-22 May 2009 with the participation of team members from each partner of the Sphere. The partners first presented the findings from the first round of their respective field studies. Then, a second series of presentations were made by the partners, again, on methodology including the use of computer software approriate to the research (also a part of WP 4). The financial and administrative issues, as well as the agenda of the fourth workshop meeting in Paris were discussed.

On the way to Paris ...

The partners already began to prepare for the workshop meeting in Paris (to take place between the 20th and the 22rd of January, 2009). The main theme of the meeting is to dicuss the findings of the field research. Each team will make a presentation regarding the findings of the field research. In addition to this the work packages 5 to 8  will also be discussed in the Paris Meeting.

During the third six-month period, 4 Skype meetings with team partners took place: 21 April 2009, 05 May 2009, 23 June 2009, 15 September 2009.

 

 

The first book from the Sphere Project

Proposal for edited book based on state of the art reports put to Palgrave McMillan and accepted to be edited by Kirk, Contrepois and Jefferys.

• Dr. Aytekin attended a financial training workshop in Cambridge, the UK, on 24 May 2009, along with Linda Butcher from Working Lives research institute, as the financial coordinator of the project. 
• Leading teams of workpackages 5-8 began to produce and circulate their respective workpackage guidelines for other partners to follow.
